Democratic Party Supports Indian-American Candidates in Congressional Races
The Democratic Party has endorsed Indian-American candidates Amish Shah and Pia Dandiya in their bids for the U.S. House of Representatives. Shah, a physician and former state representative, is running in Arizona's First District against Republican Jay Feely, while Dandiya, a former high school principal, is contesting South Florida's 22nd district. Both candidates have been added to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's Red to Blue program, which provides organizational and fundraising support to candidates in competitive races. The party aims to regain control of the House from Republicans in the upcoming November elections.
