Tim Fausnaught Appointed Manager of Clinical Placements at University of Pittsburgh School of Education
Tim Fausnaught has joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Education as the new Manager of Clinical Placements. Fausnaught brings over 30 years of experience in K-12 education, having served as an elementary and middle school teacher, and most recently as the principal of Lycoming Valley Intermediate School in the Williamsport Area School District. His role involves coordinating student teaching placements and ensuring all necessary clearances are completed for students. This includes placing students in appropriate settings for pre-student teaching, student teaching, and undergraduate observations, taking into account their geographical locations. Fausnaught holds a BS in elementary education from Mansfield University and an MEd in K-12 school administration from Duquesne University. His move to Pitt was partly influenced by family connections, as his daughter attends the university and his sister and brother-in-law reside in Pittsburgh.
