Martha Stewart recently shared details of her final conversation with John F. Kennedy Jr., which occurred just days before his fatal plane crash in 1999. Speaking on the Season 16 premiere of 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' Stewart recounted that Kennedy Jr. had called her for advice regarding his magazine, George. During a dinner, she asked him about his weekend plans, to which he replied he was flying himself, his wife Carolyn Bessette, and her sister Lauren to a wedding in Martha's Vineyard. Stewart questioned if he had a co-pilot, and Kennedy Jr. stated he did not need one. This conversation took place on a Monday, and the crash occurred the following Friday, July 16, 1999, when the Piper Saratoga he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. The cause was attributed to Kennedy Jr.'s disorientation due to his lack of proficiency as a pilot and an injured ankle.
