Make-A-Wish Southern Florida Appoints New Board Chair and Officers
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, a non-profit organization dedicated to granting life-changing wishes for critically-ill children, has announced the appointment of Dennis Crowley as its new chairman of the Board of Directors. Crowley, who has been a board member since 2016 and previously served as vice chair, will lead the board for the next two fiscal years. He is also the chairman of the board at Doctor’s Choice Pharmacy. Joining Crowley as officers are Ricky Patel of Akerman LLP as Vice Chair and Karen Ford as Treasurer. Diego Ojeda of Rilea Group has also been appointed as a new board member. The organization, which has granted over 15,000 wishes since 1983, serves 22 counties across southeast and southwest Florida, the Suncoast, Tampa Bay, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its mission is to fulfill wishes for medically-eligible children, believing these experiences are crucial for children and their families during difficult times.
