Brazilian Expert Highlights Kazakhstan's Foreign Policy as Model for Brazil
Márcio Coimbra, director of Casa Política and president of the Monitor da Democracia Institute, has identified Kazakhstan's balanced foreign policy and institutional reforms as valuable lessons for Brazil. In an interview with The Astana Times, Coimbra emphasized Kazakhstan's ability to maintain constructive relations with major global powers while prioritizing its national sovereignty and economic interests. He noted that Kazakhstan effectively balances its relationships with Beijing, Brussels, and Washington, a strategy Coimbra believes Brazil could emulate. He also highlighted potential areas for bilateral cooperation between Brazil and Kazakhstan, including critical minerals, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and agricultural production and logistics. Coimbra, on his first visit to Central Asia, stressed the region's rapid development and growing geopolitical importance, which he believes Latin America should pay more attention to.
