Earl Charles Spencer to Release New Book on Princess Diana Through Penguin Random House
Earl Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, is set to release a new book titled "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister" through Penguin Michael Joseph, a division of Penguin Random House. The book, announced on August 18, will be published globally and translated into 12 languages, with a release date of September 22 in the United Kingdom. This marks the first time Spencer has spoken openly and at length about his older sister, aiming to provide his perspective on her life and death. Spencer, an author and historian, stated his intention to "tell the truth about Diana from her brother’s perspective" and to counter opinions based on untruths that have become accepted over time. Daniel Bunyard, publishing director at Penguin Random House UK, described the book as "extraordinarily moving, beautifully written and remarkably candid," noting its "historic importance."
