Idaho Woman's Belongings Held Hostage in Moving Scam
October Primavera, an Idaho resident, fell victim to a moving scam when her belongings were held hostage by a disreputable moving company during her move to Los Angeles. Primavera paid $1,100 upfront to a moving broker, only to be asked for more money on the day of the move. After her items were loaded, the truck left, and she never received her belongings. The Better Business Bureau advises against using brokers and emphasizes the importance of hiring licensed movers directly. Primavera plans to take legal action against the company for the loss of her possessions.
