The Zumper National Rent Report indicates that San Francisco ranks second in the nation for one-bedroom rents, following New York City. The increase is attributed to high demand from high earners in the AI sector and a limited supply of new housing. Active listings in San Francisco have decreased by 30% year-over-year, exacerbating the housing shortage and driving up prices.
