Two Arrested in Norco Following Discovery of $1.8 Million Chop Shop Operation
In Norco, California, a significant vehicle theft investigation led by the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID) culminated in the discovery of an active chop shop. The operation resulted in the recovery of approximately 50 stolen vehicles and vehicle components valued at over $1.8 million. The investigation, which began in April 2026 after a motorcycle was reported stolen in Canyon Lake, identified an organized crime group responsible for multiple vehicle thefts across Southern California. On July 29, multiple search warrants were executed in Norco and Corona, leading to the arrest of two residents, Brian Stump and Kelsey Jones. They face charges including operating a chop shop, vehicle theft, and possession of stolen vehicles and narcotics.
