According to meteorologist Chris Zelman, the region will experience highs in the lower 90s today, with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the northwest. However, as the week progresses, overcast skies will clear, and cooler, drier air will settle in. By Friday and into the weekend, temperatures are forecasted to drop into the 60s at night, with daytime highs only reaching the upper 70s. This shift marks the arrival of crisp and cool fall conditions, accompanied by sunny skies and a refreshing breeze.
