Cooler Temperatures and Stray Showers Expected in Pittsburgh This Week
Following severe storms over the weekend, Pittsburgh is set to experience cooler-than-average temperatures as the new week begins. According to CBS News Pittsburgh, highs today, August 23, 2026, will range from the low to mid-70s (21-24°C) with breezy conditions and wind gusts reaching up to 20 mph. While most of the day will remain dry and sunny, there is a slight chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm in northern areas around 10 p.m. Morning lows throughout the week are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 50s (13-15°C), making for cooler starts to the day. The week ahead will feature partly to mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing back into the upper 70s (25-27°C) by Tuesday and Wednesday. Increased humidity and another chance of showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Thursday.
