Violent Weekend in Philadelphia Leaves Two Dead and Two Injured
Philadelphia experienced a violent weekend between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries across multiple incidents. The violence began around 11:30 p.m. Saturday when a 64-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the face at Wakeling and Jackson streets; a 39-year-old man was taken into custody for questioning, and two handguns were recovered. Early Sunday, a 35-year-old man was fatally shot multiple times in Kensington on the 3200 block of Kensington Avenue around 5:18 a.m.; no arrests have been made in this case. Additionally, an altercation stemming from an e-bike crash in South Philadelphia left two men injured: a 29-year-old with head abrasions and a 33-year-old with a gunshot wound to the hip.
