Sheila Jean Loyd Remembered for Her Community Involvement and Family Dedication
Sheila Jean Loyd, a beloved member of the Flint Creek Baptist Church community, passed away at the age of 76 on July 23, 2026. Born on December 13, 1949, to Earl and Alice Haynes, Sheila was known for her dedication to her family and her active role in church activities, particularly as a Vacation Bible School director and teacher. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Loyd, her sons Chris and Trent Loyd, and her grandson Bentley Loyd. Sheila was a homemaker who cherished her time with family and friends, enjoying activities such as photography, crafts, and antique collecting. Her love for the Smoky Mountains and the rolling hills of Tennessee was well-known, as was her passion for Auburn and Tennessee sports. Her funeral services are scheduled for July 26, 2026, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Center Grove Cemetery.
