President Trump has indicated a potential revival of the Keystone XL pipeline project as part of ongoing trade negotiations with Canada. This announcement was made in a social media post where he also stated a temporary pause on tariffs against Canadian goods to allow for the finalization of a trade agreement. The Keystone XL pipeline, which aimed to transport 830,000 barrels of oil daily from Alberta to the U.S. Gulf Coast, was initially proposed in 2008 by TC Energy Corp. and subsequently canceled in 2021 by the Biden administration.
