Air India Flight Experiences Severe Turbulence, Injuring Passengers and Crew
An Air India flight from Phuket to New Delhi encountered severe turbulence lasting four to five minutes, resulting in injuries to several passengers and crew members. The incident, which caused the aircraft to lose approximately 300 feet in altitude, is under investigation by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu confirmed that 17 individuals, including four cabin crew members, sustained injuries, with some requiring hospitalization. The aircraft was secured upon landing, and all relevant data has been collected for analysis. Medical teams provided immediate assistance to those affected, with some passengers and crew members still receiving treatment.
