MTSU Receives Grant to Expand Mental Health Services for Agricultural Workers
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) School of Agriculture has been awarded a grant from the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) South, designating it as Tennessee’s lead partner organization. This grant, received on October 1, will support a collaborative effort between the MTSU School of Agriculture and the Center for Health and Human Services (CHHS) to provide mental health services to individuals in agricultural careers. The initiative aims to raise awareness about mental health challenges unique to the agricultural profession. Agriculture education professor Chance Mosley, the lead principal investigator for MTSU's FRSAN South chapter, emphasized the importance of addressing farmers' mental health.
