Taylor Farms Faces Ongoing Investigation Amid Cyclosporiasis Outbreak
Taylor Farms, a major fresh produce supplier, is under scrutiny following a cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to its iceberg lettuce products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to investigate despite a recent false positive test result for the parasite. The outbreak has affected over 6,000 people across 27 states, with Michigan being the epicenter. Taylor Farms has voluntarily recalled its iceberg lettuce products from its Central Mexico facility, which were distributed to various states and retailers, including Walmart. The FDA's investigation is focused on shredded lettuce supplied to Taco Bell locations in several states, although no samples from the farm have tested positive for the parasite.
