During an interview with MS Now, Cruz directly responded 'Oh, no' when asked if the GOP agreed on Vance as the nominee. He emphasized that the party anticipates a comprehensive discussion regarding its core beliefs and who should represent them in the upcoming election cycle. Cruz also highlighted a significant shift within the Republican landscape, noting the absence of a 'Never Trump' faction. He praised President Trump's perceived fearlessness and backbone, suggesting that many Republicans appreciate his assertive approach, contrasting it with what Cruz described as 'lily-livered Republicans' who are 'afraid of their own shadow.' This statement comes amidst earlier reports from USA Today last year that suggested Cruz himself was preparing for a potential 2028 presidential bid.
