Emerald Cocktail Kitchen Announces Temporary Closure Due to Health and Burnout
Emerald Cocktail Kitchen, a well-known establishment in Syracuse, New York, will temporarily close until at least spring 2027. Co-owner Michele Roesch announced the decision on social media, citing personal health issues and burnout as the primary reasons for the closure. The bar, which opened in June 2023 as Syracuse's first rooftop bar, has been a popular spot for its specialty cocktails and food items. Despite the closure, any private events already booked will proceed as planned. The decision comes after years of navigating health challenges and the pressures of running a business, which Roesch likened to the uncertainty experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
