Arson Suspected in Fire Destroying Four Cars at Corte Madera Tesla Dealership
An early morning fire at a Tesla dealership in Corte Madera, California, is being investigated as suspected arson after four cars were wrecked. The incident occurred on Labor Day, with emergency dispatchers receiving reports shortly after 4:20 a.m. Neighbors reported hearing loud explosions before seeing flames. Central Marin Fire Battalion Chief Brian Peterson stated that firefighters arrived to find one vehicle fully engulfed, with flames spreading to three other cars in the rear parking lot. Firefighters successfully contained the blaze before it reached the main battery packs of the vehicles. Yellow police tape now surrounds the damaged vehicles, and at least two Teslas sustained significant damage, with one appearing completely gutted. Investigators from the Marin County Fire Investigation Team are working to determine the exact cause, noting that the fire does not appear accidental. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.
