Pennsylvania Expands Sunday Hunting Opportunities for 2026-27 Season
Pennsylvania has expanded Sunday hunting opportunities for the 2026-27 hunting seasons, with most hunting seasons now including Sundays. This change allows many seasons that previously concluded on Saturday to extend through Sunday, broadening access for hunters across the state. However, certain restrictions remain in place. Sunday hunting is still prohibited for migratory game birds, including waterfowl, mourning doves, and woodcock, due to federal regulations. A recent survey by the Pennsylvania Game Commission indicated that a slight majority of migratory game bird hunters preferred to keep Sundays closed for the upcoming season.
