Arrest Warrant Issued for 2024 Presidential Candidate Jill Stein Following Court No-Show
An arrest warrant has been issued for Dr. Jill Stein, a 2024 presidential candidate, after she and her attorney failed to appear in court for an assault charge stemming from an April 2024 protest. St. Louis Judge Karma Johnson issued the order on Monday morning. Dr. Stein, who ran as the Green Party presidential candidate, faces one count of first-degree trespassing and one count of fourth-degree assault. These charges originate from an incident on April 27, 2024, at Washington University's Danforth campus. During the protest, which began in Forest Park and moved onto the campus, demonstrators chanted phrases related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and entered the Olin Library, leading to its evacuation.
