Waymo Vehicle Involved in Two-Car Crash in Los Angeles, One Hospitalized
A two-car crash involving a Waymo vehicle occurred in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles, resulting in one person being hospitalized. The incident was reported at 5:44 a.m. on Venice Boulevard, near the 10 Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, one individual was transported to a medical center in an unknown condition, while four others who complained of pain were treated at the scene. The involvement of a Waymo vehicle, which is part of the company's autonomous vehicle fleet, highlights ongoing safety concerns surrounding self-driving technology. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and it is not yet confirmed if a pedestrian was involved.
