FDA Announces Recall of Fromm Dog Food Due to Potential Metal Contamination
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall by Fromm Family Foods of certain canned dog food products. The recall, initiated on August 21, involves 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet canned dog food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet canned dog food. The company received customer complaints regarding the presence of metal in the food, prompting the recall. These products were distributed nationwide across the U.S. and Canada, available for purchase both online and in pet stores. The affected products can be identified by specific UPC codes, lot codes, and a best-by date of 032029. Fromm Family Foods has stated that it has identified the source of the problem and implemented corrective measures to prevent future occurrences. As of the recall announcement, no illnesses or injuries related to the contaminated products have been reported.
