Daughter of '90 Day Fiancé' Star Jenny Slatten Appeals to Lawmakers for Emergency Humanitarian Visa for Husband Amid ALS Worsening
Jenny Slatten, an American citizen living in India and a star of '90 Day Fiancé,' is experiencing a worsening of her bulbar ALS symptoms. Her daughter, Christina Cuevas, has publicly appealed to U.S. lawmakers, including California Representatives Alex Padilla, Adam Schiff, and Ken Calvert, for assistance in securing an emergency humanitarian option for Slatten's husband, Sumit Singh. Singh's visa application to accompany his wife to the U.S. was recently denied after his interview. The family's goal is to bring Slatten back to the United States to access additional medical treatment through her insurance, as doctors have advised against her making the long journey from India alone. Slatten's condition has deteriorated significantly, with increasing weakness in her spine, neck, and hands, and a considerable decline in her ability to speak.
