Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Ten Judges to State Bench
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of ten new judges to various state courts on September 11. These appointments include individuals to the 17th, 12th, and 19th Judicial Circuit Courts, as well as county courts in Martin, DeSoto, Sarasota, Orange, and Santa Rosa counties. The appointees fill judicial vacancies created by retirements, elevations, or other departures. Among the notable appointments are David Arthmann to the 17th Judicial Circuit Court, who previously served as general counsel for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and Jeremy Franker, also to the 17th Circuit, who was a county court judge for Broward County. The new judges bring diverse legal backgrounds, including experience as assistant state attorneys, public defenders, and private practice lawyers.
