Israeli Border Police Rescue Donkey at Jerusalem Checkpoint
Israeli Border Police rescued a donkey found tied up in the trunk of a private vehicle at the Tunnels Checkpoint outside Jerusalem. The driver, a 28-year-old from Beitar Illit, claimed the donkey was unwell and was being transported to a farm in east Jerusalem. Authorities detained the driver for further investigation, and the donkey was taken to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for care. The incident highlights the vigilance of security forces in monitoring animal welfare at checkpoints.
