Karazin University and Cincinnati Partners Discuss Veteran Support System Exchange
Karazin University in Ukraine is engaging with partners in Cincinnati, Ohio, to exchange experiences and develop a long-term veterans policy. Acting Rector Oleksandr Holovko met with Bob Herring, President of the Kharkiv–Cincinnati Sister City Partnership, to discuss this collaboration. Karazin University already operates a Veterans Development Centre, which supports veterans through professional and educational reintegration and helps them access new opportunities post-military service. The university aims to expand these efforts by learning from the Cincinnati model, where medical and educational institutions play an active role in veteran support. Specifically, the University of Cincinnati has a Veterans Programs & Services Office, and the VetSuccess on Campus program involves specialists from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
