EF-0 Tornado Confirmed in Pickens County, Georgia
The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Pickens County, Georgia, during storms on Tuesday night. The tornado, which occurred off East Price Creek Road, brought maximum wind speeds of 80 to 85 mph. The primary damage reported included several downed trees in the area. Additionally, a historic marble monument from 1930 in downtown Jasper was struck by lightning and damaged. Despite the severe weather, no injuries were reported.
