U.S. Military Operations in Iran: Significant Damage but Capabilities Remain
The U.S. military has conducted extensive operations against Iranian military targets, reportedly hitting over 13,000 targets, including air defenses, navy, and weapons factories. Despite these efforts, Iran retains some military capabilities, as acknowledged by U.S. officials. General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reported that about 80% of Iran's air defense systems have been destroyed, but Iran still possesses the ability to strike back. The operations have also targeted Iran's naval capabilities, with a significant portion of its navy reportedly sunk.
