Man Arrested in Everett, Washington, for Attempting to Lure Minor at Park
Everett, Washington, police have arrested a man in his 40s for allegedly attempting to lure a minor at Walter E Hall Park. The incident involved the man approaching a group of girls, aged 11 to 13, and attempting to persuade one of them to enter his van by offering a ride and alcohol. According to police, the man initially approached one girl as she walked to the park, offering a ride which she declined. Upon her arrival at the park, the same man was reportedly waiting and again invited her into his vehicle with the offer of alcohol. A nearby community member observed the girl appearing uncomfortable, intervened, and subsequently called 911 after the suspect drove away. Police located the man's minivan and identified the driver, who initially denied being at the park and had changed his clothes. However, license plate reader data helped police establish a timeline linking the vehicle to the incident.
