Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Rick Jackson Pledges to Match Trump Accounts
Georgia Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson announced his intention to match the $1,000 Trump accounts for Georgia children if elected. The announcement was made during an event at Wheeler High School in Cobb County, where President Donald Trump discussed the accounts. These accounts are available to American families with children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, allowing them to claim a $1,000 account and add up to $5,000. Jackson expressed confidence that the Georgia Legislature would approve the initiative, but pledged to personally fund it if necessary. Trump, who endorsed Jackson's opponent, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, also endorsed several other Republican candidates during the event.
