Alameda County Fire Department Issues Evacuation Orders Due to Little Fire Near Pleasanton
A vegetation fire, known as the Little Fire, has erupted near Pleasanton in Alameda County, California, prompting mandatory evacuation orders. The fire began at approximately 3:39 p.m. in the area of Vallecitos Road and Little Valley Road in Sunol, south of Pleasanton. As of 10 p.m., the fire had consumed over 1,000 acres and was only 10% contained. Cal Fire, in coordination with the Alameda County Fire Department, is managing the response. One firefighter has been reported injured. Evacuation orders are in place for several zones, including PLS-080, PLS-081, and PLS-103, while orders for zones ALC-072, PLS-082, and PLS-079 have been lifted, allowing residents to return. A temporary shelter has been established at the Pleasanton Senior Center, with additional lodging resources available through the Tri-Valley program.
