Court Orders Removal of President Trump's Name from Kennedy Center Amid Controversy
A U.S. District Judge, Christopher Cooper, has ruled that President Trump's name was illegally added to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The judge stated that the 1964 statute establishing the center mandates it be named solely for President John F. Kennedy. Despite the court order, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum has not committed to removing Trump's name, suggesting the decision might be appealed. The ruling follows a lawsuit by Rep. Joyce Beatty, challenging the renaming and other board decisions.
