Leesburg Neighbor Rescues Man from House Fire, Victim Airlifted for Treatment
In Leesburg, a man was rescued from a house fire by a quick-thinking neighbor on Sunday morning. The incident occurred on Sabal Way just before 10 a.m. Lenny Webb, who lives across the street, noticed smoke and immediately called 911 before rushing to help. The neighbor, who lives alone and uses a wheelchair, was found unconscious near the door. Webb, with the help of others, managed to drag the man away from the burning house until emergency services arrived. The victim was seriously injured and airlifted as a trauma alert. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal.
