A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred on Friday night, with its epicenter located north of San Miguel in the Las Perlas Archipelago. The seismic event was felt across various sectors of Panama City, San Miguelito, and Panama Oeste. The Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama initially reported the tremor, which was registered at 11:59 p.m. local time. Early Saturday morning, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) confirmed receiving reports from residents in areas including San Miguelito, San Francisco, Obarrio, Chilibre, Don Bosco, Costa del Este, Paitilla, Arraiján, La Chorrera, Isla del Rey, Isla Contadora, Isla Saboga, and Isla de San Miguel.
