Frontier Airlines Flight Strikes Pedestrian at Denver International Airport, Resulting in Fatality
A Frontier Airlines flight, identified as Flight 4345, reported striking a pedestrian during takeoff at Denver International Airport on Friday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 11:19 p.m., leading to a brief engine fire that was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The pedestrian, who had reportedly jumped a perimeter fence, was hit while crossing the runway and was pronounced deceased. The individual is not believed to be an airport employee and has not yet been identified. The Airbus A321, bound for Los Angeles, was carrying 224 passengers and seven crew members at the time. Following the incident, the pilots aborted the takeoff, and passengers were evacuated via slides as a precaution. Twelve individuals reported minor injuries, with five transported to the hospital. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is coordinating with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Denver airport operations, and local law enforcement to investigate the incident.
