Library of Congress Launches Interactive Gallery for Young Researchers
The Library of Congress has opened a new experiential research gallery called 'The Source: Where Curiosity Sparks Discovery,' aimed at youth aged eight to 15. The gallery, located in the Jefferson building, features interactive displays of texts, images, recordings, and films from the library's extensive collections. The initiative, which took seven years to develop, is designed to engage young minds in primary source research. The gallery includes various stations where children can explore topics of interest, such as a stereograph station and a film collection. The opening event attracted a large crowd, including children and their parents, and featured sessions with authors and a look at the library's collection of musical instruments.
