Antoni Gaudí's Unbuilt NYC Skyscraper Visualized, Revealing Extraordinary Interiors
A long-lost skyscraper design by renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, known as Hotel Attraction, has been brought to life through detailed visualizations by journalist and architectural enthusiast Daniel Coughlin. Originally commissioned in 1908 by two unidentified American businessmen, the unbuilt Manhattan tower was intended to be a monumental structure, standing approximately 1,181 feet tall. Coughlin's recreations, featured on his YouTube channel, The Curious Compendium of Architectural What-Ifs, explore not only the tower's striking exterior but also its vast ceremonial halls and themed cultural spaces. The renewed interest in this project coincides with the centenary of Gaudí's death, highlighting the architect's enduring influence.
