Flossmoor Honors Richard Condon for Lifetime of Service and Community Impact
The Village of Flossmoor has proclaimed June 3 as 'Richard W. Condon Day' in honor of Richard 'Dick' Condon's 95th birthday and his decades of service to the community. Condon, a longtime resident, historian, and veteran, has deep ties to Flossmoor, dating back to his childhood. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had a distinguished career as a design engineer, earning 22 patents. Condon is also recognized for his contributions to local historical preservation and his involvement in the Flossmoor Veterans Wall of Honor project. His daughter, Kris Condon, was acknowledged for her leadership in fundraising efforts for the memorial.
