German Mining Technology Advances in San Juan's Copper Projects
The German Mining Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) has highlighted the increasing involvement of German mining technology in San Juan, Argentina, particularly in copper-related projects. During the Expo Internacional San Juan Minera 2026, Christoph Dammer, a representative of VDMA, emphasized the focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact in mining processes. German companies are providing solutions for various stages of mining, from exploration to mineral processing. The association noted that these technologies are already in use across the Andean region, including Chile and Peru. San Juan has become a focal point for international mining suppliers due to the progress of large-scale metalliferous projects and new investments.
