Kansas City Woman Fails to Appear in Court, Arrest Warrant Issued
Whitney Jones, accused of slashing tires in Kansas City's Waldo neighborhood, failed to appear in court for her arraignment on charges of first-degree burglary and property damage. Jones, who has documented mental health issues, was previously arrested for slashing tires in 35 driveways. Despite objections from prosecutors, she was released but allegedly reoffended shortly after. Reports indicate she exhibited threatening behavior in the area, prompting police to work with prosecutors to add new charges. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, and her arraignment has been rescheduled.
