William Rodney Andrews Passes Away, Leaving a Legacy in Loganton Community
William Rodney Andrews, a beloved member of the Loganton community, passed away on March 22, 2026. Known affectionately as Rod or Bill, he was a dedicated family man and farmer. Born to Evan and Martha Heltman Andrews, Rod spent most of his life on the family farm, initially focusing on dairy farming before transitioning to beef cattle. He graduated from Sugar Valley High School in 1969 and briefly served in the National Guard. Rod was also employed by Piper and later R.W. Bird Trucking, where he worked as a tractor-trailer driver. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time on his farm and riding his 4-wheeler with his dog, Chloe. Rod was known for his generosity, humor, and willingness to help others. He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughters Jennie and Hayley, sister Ann, and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for April 4, 2026, at Mountain View Alliance Church in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania.
