High Winds Cause Fatal Tree Collapse During Easter Event in Satrupholm, Germany
In northern Germany, a tragic incident occurred during an Easter egg hunt when high winds caused a tree to fall, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a 10-month-old girl. The event took place near the town of Satrupholm, where approximately 50 people from a residential facility for new mothers, pregnant women, and children were gathered. The tree, measuring 100 feet, fell on the group, pinning four people underneath. A 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl died at the scene, while the woman's infant daughter succumbed to injuries later at the hospital. An 18-year-old woman was seriously injured and transported to the hospital by helicopter. The area was under a high winds warning issued by the German weather service.
