Temecula Plans Memorial Day Observance Ceremony with Flags of Honor Display
The City of Temecula, California, is preparing to host its annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony at the Temecula Duck Pond and Veterans Memorial. Scheduled for May 25, the event will feature a tribute to fallen military personnel, with American flags lining the Duck Pond fence. The ceremony is part of a broader initiative to honor local veterans, including the Path of Honor, which features commemorative bricks for service members. The event will also showcase the Fallen Heroes Memorial, dedicated to those who have died in service, including Marine Staff Sergeant Louis Cardin, who was killed in action in 2016. The Flags of Honor program allows community members to sponsor flags, which will be displayed from May 18 to June 1, 2026.
