Missouri Job Center Temporarily Relocates Due to Roof Replacement
The Missouri Job Center in Springfield is temporarily relocating its operations to the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library due to a roof replacement project. The move, which is expected to last from April 30 to May 8, aims to avoid disruptions caused by the construction work near the center's public entrance. During this period, the Job Center will continue to offer its full range of services at the library, including job search assistance, unemployment filing, job training program enrollment, career assessment tools, and free career readiness workshops. Ericka Schmeeckle, assistant director of economic vitality and workforce development for the City of Springfield, expressed gratitude to the library for providing space to continue serving the public. Updates on the roof replacement status will be shared on the Missouri Job Center's social media pages.
