The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) has released a report titled 'The Dictatorship Next Door: Cuba and the Fight for the Western Hemisphere,' outlining 12 recommendations for the Trump administration to confront the regime of Miguel Díaz-Canel. The report, authored by Melissa Ford Maldonado, director of the institute's Western Hemisphere Initiative, describes Cuba as being in its most fragile state since the collapse of the Soviet Union, citing a declining economy, a significant population reduction, and the loss of Venezuelan oil supplies.
