Lollapalooza Day 3 Delayed Due to Heavy Rain and Flood Warnings in Chicago
Heavy rain and flooding risks have led to a delay for the third day of Chicago's Lollapalooza music festival. Originally scheduled to start earlier, the festival's opening was postponed to 3 p.m. due to significant rainfall overnight and ongoing weather conditions. The festival organizers have updated the schedule to accommodate these changes. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the Chicago area until 7 p.m., with a Flood Warning for Cook and Will counties extended until 11:45 p.m. Attendees are advised to prepare for adverse weather conditions, as heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day. The City of Chicago and festival organizers have implemented safety measures, including setting up shelter sites at Grant Park North, Grant Park South, and the Millennium Lakeside Garages, to ensure the safety of festivalgoers.
