Yale University Opens Applications for Global Health Emerging Scholars Program 2027-2028
Yale University, in collaboration with Stanford University, the University of Arizona, and the University of California, Berkeley, has announced the opening of applications for the Global Health Emerging Scholars Program for the 2027-2028 academic year. This program, supported by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, offers a 12-month intensive research training opportunity aimed at developing future leaders in global health. Participants will engage in full-time, mentored research across 15 low- and middle-income countries, addressing significant population-health challenges. The program emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, encouraging research that improves healthcare access, develops practical interventions, and strengthens health systems. Applications are due by October 1, 2026, and the program will run from July 2027 to June 2028.
