UK Ministry of Defence Nears Decision on Atlantic Net Mission Partner for Undersea ISR
The UK Ministry of Defence is close to selecting a commercial partner for its 'Atlantic Net' mission, which aims to provide undersea intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services in the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap. This initiative is part of the broader 'Atlantic Bastion' project, which seeks to enhance the UK's autonomous anti-submarine warfare capabilities. The decision is expected by the end of May 2026, with the service anticipated to be operational by the end of the year. Five consortia are currently in contention for the contract.
